Rabot Rescue Cabin

The Rescue Cabin is the little sister of the Rabot Mountain Cabin and serves as a back-up shelter for the main cabin. It is designed as an eye catching yet neutral volume responding to the spectacular surrounding landscape.

The cabin is built with cross laminated timber transported into the mountains by helicopter, and it has a local maintenance-free spruce cladding. The simple shape of the cabin is generated from the snow and wind conditions of the site, mimicking the nearby mountain tops.
